We just started a pilot project: managing a tree farm here in Nicaragua, in a land in the Carazo region, with a lot of biodiversity.
Therefore all the wood we will use to make our hammocks and hanging chairs come from an environmental responsible source. The project is conserving the biodiversity of the local environment by planting the same native woods we used for our products (Madero Negro).
Madero Negro is a fast growing wood you can read more on wikipedia, searching for Gliricidia sepium.
We cutted 15 trees last week and we are gonna plant 45 new saplings soon!
