  1. Creating Opportunities for Economically Disadvantaged Producers
  2. Transparency and Accountability
  3. Fair Trading Practices
  4. Payment of a Fair Price
  5. Ensuring no Child Labour and Forced Labour
  6. Commitment to Non Discrimination, Gender Equity and Women’s Economic Empowerment, and Freedom of Association
  7. Ensuring Good Working Conditions
  8. Providing Capacity Building
  9. Promoting Fair Trade
  10. Respect for the Environment

People & Planet

We take measures to minimize any environmental impact.
From 2017 we started to co-manage a tree farm in the Carazo region. Therefore all the wood we use to make our products come from an environmental responsible source. The main purpose of the project is to conserve the biodiversity of the local environment by planting the same native woods we use for our products (Gliricidia sepium).
Gliricidia sepium (locally called "Madero Negro") is a native Nicaraguan tree, not a species in danger of extinction and it is a fast-growing species. Definitely an alternative source to reduce the trade of illegal woods coming from national natural reserves.

As part of our brand philosophy, the products come in a recycled cardboard handmade box, as we believe this is something essential for those who want to contribute positively to the environment.
All the materials (products and boxes) are recyclable, please check the recycling rules in your community and if recycling facilities exist in your area.
